The Joshua Kivinda Kimilu foundation is a registered charitable organization, (OP.218/051/18-215/11218) operating in Kenya. This foundation is birthed out of the diverse engagements in charity projects and support of the Hon. Joshua Kimilu that went undocumented and unrecorded. The earth dams, boreholes, school fees to the needy bright kids he has initiated and founded form a backbone to this charitable organization.
As part of his professional career, the founder presented a bill in parliament, The Institute of Social Work Professionals Bill, 2023 The bill seeks to establish The Institute of Social Work Professionals as a regulatory body to oversee the profession in Kenya. It lays out the structure, functions and responsibilities of the institute, including the registration and licensing of social workers, setting professional standards and ensuring ethical practice. It also details disciplinary measures for misconduct, governance provisions for the institute’s leadership and mechanisms for promoting continuous professional development. Moreover, it defines penalties for unauthorized practice and other violations, aiming to enhance the credibility and accountability of social work in Kenya.
Ensuring better life of people by ensuring sustainable economic development, good governance and gender equality and equity.
